I’m all about color and imagery that brings joy. I love working both digitally and physically (mostly with gouache and watercolor). Some of these items are personal projects, others are commissions, but all of them bring a smile to my face.
Hadley Designs requested three 1,000 x 1,500 Pinterest post options for two new products, a desk calendar, and educational flashcards. The client supplied product images as well as the required title and I used those along with custom illustrations to create eye-catching and brand-appropriate graphics. I used colors and digital brushes that worked well with the individual products and created a red thread via layout and overall aesthetic so their brand could be easily recognizable. I also utilized large color blocking combined with more detailed graphic assets so these posts would jump off the page and stand apart from the surrounding noise.
Hadley Design requested three Instagram posts using two inspirational quotes that they provided and a tips list on how to be more productive. After looking into their current graphic identity I created several sketches, tested digital brushes, gathered fonts, and put together the rough drafts. After receiving approval, I created the posts you see here and provided the three files as 960 x 960 pixel jpegs as requested by the client.
As an exhibit designer at the Design Museum Foundation, I did design work for exhibitions, local events, marketing, and their first publication, Design and Play. This page overviews the last exhibition I worked on for DMF, Bespoke Bodies, which opened in Portland, OR, and was later brought back to be exhibited in Boston, MA. For this exhibition, I worked with the lead exhibition designer researching, designing graphic content, creating elevation drawings, acquiring physical and digital media for display, and implementing the final exhibition in Portland.

The luxury nail salon, MiniLuxe, requested we create a traveling manicure cart so they could take their business on the go - bringing manicures to office spaces, hospitals, local businesses, and hotels. We were able to fulfill their request to include everything they need to support their nail techs as well as bring along their entire line of custom colors on one movable cart. The Mani Cart was able to seat two nail techs and two clients, as well as store everything the nail techs would need to complete a regular polish or gel manicure.
The card company LovePop requested two card commissions that were to be released at the end of 2020. I was given the prompt of creating one card that included an animal theme and the other was free for me to come up with on my own. I browsed their products to make sure I was creating something new and fresh for the animal prompt since they create many cards with animals at the center of the design. Then I did some research on pop culture references for the second card. Then I worked through some rough sketches and drafts and submitted a final graphic layout including the front and interior design as well as all of the vector files for the digital assets included in the card.
At Stitch & Tickle, I worked alongside owner and maker, Sophie Truong, to create high-quality, handmade leather bags. I worked on cutting patterns, hand stitching bags, photographing products, and designing marketing material such as this Spring 2017 lookbook.
For the Spring launch of 2018, Macy’s requested a line of French Country/Farmhouse inspired displays. We created a display table for folded garments and an L-Rack display for hanging garments. The table included individually whitewashed and painted slabs and the L-Rack included a hand-carved ornate corner detail.
